An electric low-temperature regulating valve is an automated control valve designed for use in low-temperature environments. It is used to precisely adjust parameters such as fluid flow and pressure. Here is a detailed introduction:


• Structure: It consists of an electric actuator and a low-temperature regulating valve body. The valve body is equipped with a long-neck connecting pipe, which is used to keep the valve stem seal close to normal temperature and reduce the transmission of external heat. The long neck usually adopts a thin-walled structure.


• Operating principle: The electric actuator receives standard signals of 4-20mA or 1-5V·DC, drives the reducer to rotate through the motor, and then drives the valve stem of the cryogenic valve to move, changing the valve opening and achieving the regulation of fluid parameters. The position sensor monitors the valve opening in real time and feeds it back to the control system to achieve closed-loop control.


• Performance characteristics: Usually made of low-temperature resistant materials such as stainless steel or special alloys to ensure that they are not damaged in extremely cold conditions; have anti-freezing design to prevent valves and actuators from freezing; some valves are also designed with emergency shut-off function to ensure safe use in low-temperature environments.


Technical parameters: The nominal diameter is generally DN25-DN300mm, and the nominal pressure includes PN1.6, PN2.5, PN4.0, PN6.4, etc. The valve cover types are divided into low temperature type (-10℃ to -196℃) and ultra-low temperature type (-196℃ to -250℃). The flow characteristics include linear and equal percentage, and the adjustable range R is 30:1.


• Application: Widely used in cryogenic process systems such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, air separation plants, and liquid nitrogen plants to control fluid temperature, pressure, and flow.
